VIAN-Climate & Environment Webinar on “How to simulate wind turbines in a numerical weather prediction model?”

On the evening of December 27, 2023, the seminar of the Vietnam-International Academic Network (VIAN)-Climate & Environment was successfully held.

The session featured a presentation by Dr. Bui Hoang Hai from the University of Bergen, Norway, on the topic “How to simulate wind turbines in a numerical weather prediction model?” Despite being in the final days of 2022 and taking place in the evening, Dr. Bui Hoang Hai’s presentation attracted nearly 30 experts and researchers in the field of weather science and the environment. During the seminar, Dr. Bui Hoang Hai also announced plans to soon publish his research and expressed willingness to share his model for application and measurement in Vietnam with interested scientists.

This event also marked the final activity of the VIAN for the year 2022. The USAID Partnership for Higher Education Reform project has high hopes for the upcoming year 2023, with many more events anticipated across all 7 VIANs, contributing to the advancement of scientific research collaborations in Vietnam.
