Following up with the activities of the Vietnam-International Academic Network (VIAN) under the USAID Partnership for Higher Education Reform project , on the evening of September 30, 2022, a webinar on the topic “Food, Water and Environmental Security Impacts of Transnational Land Deals” was organized, featuring a presentation by Professor Marc Muller from the University of Notre Dame, USA.
The seminar attracted the participation of nearly 20 domestic and international experts engaging in discussions and vibrant conversations around environmental issues.
After 2 hours of discussion, the scientists and participants of the webinar further strengthened their connections between working groups and received updated information related to the impacts of transnational land deals on global livelihood issues.
The Climate and Environment VIAN team, coordinated by American experts and representatives from three Vietnamese universities, includes Professor Chanh Kieu from Indiana University, Associate Professor Dr. Chau Nguyen Xuan Quang from the Institute of Resources and Environment at Vietnam National UniversityHo Chi Minh city, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Minh from University of Science, Vietnam National University Hanoi, and Associate Professor Dr. Vo Van Minh from University of Education, University of Danang.
