On December 9, 2022 as part of the activities of the Vietnam-International Academic Network (VIAN)-Information Technology (IT), the regular webinar of the group was held with a featured presentation by Associate Professor Dr. Minh Hoai Nguyen from Stony Brook University, USA, on the topic “Hand detection, association, and tracking in the wild”.
Associate Professor Dr. Minh Hoai Nguyen is a Principal Scientist at VinAI, leading the computer vision team and the Smart Edge division. He is also an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He earned a Bachelor of Software Engineering degree from the University of New South Wales in 2005 and a Ph.D. in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University in 2012. Associate Professor Dr. Minh Hoai Nguyen has numerous publications in top conferences and journals such as CVPR, NIPS, PAMI, and IJCV.
