As part of the activities of the Vietnam International Academic Network (VIAN) –  Education hosted its first webinar with the participation of local and international experts on September 29, 2022 evening.

The VIAN-Education is coordinated by experts from the U.S. and representatives from 3 universities in Vietnam including Prof. David Nguyen (Indiana University, the U.S.), Prof. Phuong Nguyen (Iowa University, the U.S.), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lê Quang Sơn (Vice President of the University of Danang), Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Quý Thanh (Rector, University of Education, Vietnam National University Hanoi), and Dr. Nguyễn Quốc Chính (Director, Center for Educational Testing and Quality Assessment, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh).

During the webinar, Prof. Phuong Nguyen presented to more than 30 participants on “Evaluation methodology in education policy research”. Many questions and comments were made, which were followed by interactive discussions on the topic. The presentation by Prof. Phuong Nguyen also received positive feedback from the participants. The activities of the Education VIAN team will continue to be organized on a regular basis.
