VIAN-EBP Webinar on “Institutions, Abilities, and the Allocation of Talent”

On December 9, 2022 morning, as part of the activities of the Vietnam-International Academic Network (VIAN) – Economics, Business and Public Policy (EBP), the team’s regular webinar was held with the presentation of Prof. Michael V. Alexeev (Department of Economics, Indiana University, USA) on the topic “Institutions, Abilities, and the Allocation of Talent”.

Prof. Alexeev’s major research and teaching areas are comparative economics and transitional economics from a Soviet-style economy to a market economy. In recent years, he has also been interested in comparative analysis of institutions, law, and economics. During his research on transitional economy, Prof. Alexeev focuses on the behavior of various economic actors (business managers, consumers, government officials), with a focus on informal aspects such as shadow economic activities. Research by Prof. Alexeev has been published in journals such as the Journal of Economic Theory, Review of Economics and Statistics, and European Economic Review.
