VIAN Health Sciences VI

The Vietnam International Academic Network (VIAN) for Health Science established to:

1. Facilitate Collaborations: Foster collaborative relationships between professors from the US, other developed countries, and faculty members from three PHER-supported universities in Vietnam.

2. Enhance Research Capacity: Strengthen the research capabilities of faculty members at the three PHER-supported universities in Vietnam by involving them in mentoring processes for research proposal development, implementation, and dissemination. This mentoring will be conducted by experienced professors from the US and other developed countries. Research Areas: 1. Public Health 2. Health Behaviors 3. Biomedical Research

MEDICAL TALK Nurturing Passions and Embrace Your Dreams

Presentations by international/Vietnamese scholars: Each VIAN quarterly organizes webinars/workshops by inviting both international scholars and Vietnamese scholars to present: research papers, research ideas, call for joint research, and share knowledge/experience.

VIAN-Health Science’s Summer Workshop attracts participants of experts and scientists (13)

Purpose and objectives of the VIAN Summer Workshop: 

To update the members regarding the VIAN activities. 

To serve as a forum for VIAN members to present their own research and solicit feedback to improve their research design and outputs. 

To discuss possibilities for joint research among the 3Us and partner universities. 

To discuss strategy for the coming year(s) and develop VIAN action plans of the 3Us.


VIAN-Health Science’s Summer Workshop attracts participants of experts and scientists (7)

Each VIAN will introduce/facilitate training courses to support young researchers on their professional development, including but not limited to: Enhance academic writing skills to publish in international journals; Write research proposals to get funds from national/international sources; Research methodologies; Research conducts/ethics.
