In March 2023, the USAID Partnership for Higher Education Reform project held several meetings with leaders from the Institute for Education Quality Assurance at the University of Science and Education (Vietnam National University-Hanoi) as well as at the University of Da Nang to discuss the technical support needed to improve their own internal quality assurance (IQA) systems.
The partner universities seek the project support to review their IQA, identify any critical gaps, and develop plans to support reforms. The findings will be shared with administrators and faculty at both institutions. Based on the needs of each partner university, the project will connect the respective leadership teams with top-rate international and regional experts who will provide technical support toward IQA improvement. The project IQA technical support package will start remotely, with a series of webinars and online meetings; these will be followed by in-person coaching in Vietnam by experts who will provide detailed, concrete guidance on effectuating any proposed changes. The objective is to strengthen the internal continuous quality improvement systems of each partner university so that these institutions can better contribute to the quality of human resources in Vietnam.
