USAID, through its Partnership for Higher Education Reform project, launched a focused training program called Career Skills – designed by Indiana University specifically for students at Vietnamese universities.
The courses were delivered to more than 100 students through a platform known as IU Expand. The participants were students at VNU University of Economics and Business (UEB) and at several high schools across Hanoi. These self-paced courses help students in building a foundation to plot out a career path. Students explore their values, develop an academic plan matching their desired careers and then formulate a solid plan for furthering their professional goals. This learning activity helps students to build a professional profile, master communication skills, and develop leadership potential. The ultimate goal is to enhance career skills critical to improving the employability of graduates and contributing to the development of the Vietnamese workforce.
