On January 2, 2024, full ACBSP (Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs) accreditation valid for 10 years was awarded to International University, Vietnam National University – Ho Chi Minh (VNUHCM – International University) for its Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program with specializations in Business Management, International Business, Marketing and Hospitality Management. This is the first university degree program to achieve this top-level accreditation status among USAID Partnership for Higher Education Reform project’s partner universities. 

In 2023, the project provided technical support to VNUHCM – International University and other partner universities. Specialized ACBSP accreditation training was given by PHER experts to university leaders, quality assurance staff, and faculty members at a total of 8 public universities. The intensive training was followed by a series of coaching sessions with accreditation experts at three universities – each of which has advanced to ACBSP candidacy or planned to start the ACBSP accreditation process in the coming months.

ACBSP full accreditation is a significant achievement in that it holds a 10-year validity, signifying ACBSP confidence in International University (VNUHCM).  Moreover, this marks a notable culture shift toward quality and serves to inspire other universities to pursue ACBSP accreditation for business degree programs.
